HOMICIDE
The death of a family member through violence is devastating. When a homicide case involves more than one country whether a perpetrator has travelled from South America to Europe, from Europe to South America, or through other jurisdictions the distance, language differences, and separate legal systems can make it even harder for families to obtain information and feel that progress is being made. GIO-14 supports families, legal representatives, and authorised organisations seeking structured, lawful investigative assistance in complex international homicide matters. We understand that every case concerns a person, a family, and a need for truthful answers. Our role is to help organise information, identify lawful lines of enquiry, and support communication with the appropriate authorities and legal professionals. A cross-border homicide investigation may involve questions such as: • Whether a suspect, witness, or person of interest has travelled, relocated, or used identities across jurisdictions. • Whether relevant records, communications, financial activity, digital information, or witnesses may be located in another country. • Whether a missing-person case, unidentified remains, or suspicious death could be connected to events abroad. • Whether families need help preparing clear, verified information for police, prosecutors, lawyers, embassies, or consulates. • Whether a case requires lawful coordination between authorities in Europe and South America. • Whether a family want GIO-14 to represent them and talk to the local authorities seeking any updates. Families should never have to navigate these issues alone. GIO-14 approaches every enquiry with discretion, sensitivity, and respect for the presumption of innocence and for the authority of the official investigation. If there is an immediate danger, a recent violent crime, or information that could prevent harm, contact the local emergency services or police immediately.
GIO-14 is an international investigative-support team. In homicide-related matters, our work must remain strictly within the law of every country involved and must never replace the work of police, prosecutors, courts, or other competent authorities. Subject to a lawful mandate, local law, and the facts of the case, GIO-14 may be able to assist with: • Case assessment and information review: Reviewing material voluntarily supplied by the family, legal representatives, or authorised parties; identifying gaps, timelines, inconsistencies, and potential leads requiring referral to authorities. • Open-source and lawful intelligence research: Conducting lawful research into publicly available information, corporate records where legally accessible, media reporting, public digital material, travel-linked context, or known associations. Findings are documented carefully so they can be considered by qualified legal counsel or the appropriate authorities. • Witness and lead development: Identifying potential witnesses or sources of information, where lawful; conducting consensual, non-coercive interviews; and recording information in a professional format. No person is compelled to speak, and no witness is pressured or intimidated. • International liaison support: Helping families and their lawyers prepare organised case summaries, chronologies, and evidence indexes for police, prosecutors, consulates, embassies, or other competent authorities. In EU cross-border cases, victims’ rights can include access to information, support, protection, participation, and—in appropriate cases—compensation mechanisms; official bodies such as Eurojust support coordination among national authorities. • Missing-person and identification support: Assisting families to compile verified identifying information and to understand the proper official channels for reporting a missing relative or supplying information. International police cooperation can include family-DNA comparison through national police and INTERPOL processes; these processes are run through authorised law-enforcement channels, not by private investigators acting independently. Interpol. • Lawful location work: Conducting discreet, legally compliant enquiries to help establish whether a person may be located in a particular jurisdiction. Any credible information concerning a person wanted by authorities is referred through the appropriate legal and law-enforcement channels. • Evidence organisation and referral: Preserving an accurate record of how information was received, when it was obtained, and why it may be relevant. We can help ensure that material is passed to the appropriate authority or legal representative rather than being circulated publicly in a way that could compromise an investigation. Every enquiry is treated with discretion, dignity, and respect for the law.
